4. Locate Switch SW1 on the Educational Platform, and apply power to the Platform.

5. On the PC, launch the Tera Term program. In Tera Term’s New connection screen,

click the

Serial radio button and select the COM port from the Port: drop-down menu,

as indicated in Figure 2. If more than one COM port is available, you can determine

which port is assigned to the Platform by disconnecting the USB A to Mini-B cable

and noting which port has disappeared from the list of ports in the

Port: drop-down

menu. This port should reappear once the cable is reconnected. In the Figure 2 exam-

ple, the COM44 port has been assigned.
